The Hikvision DS-2CD2043G2-IU IP tubular camera, part of the EasyIP 2.0 Plus series, implements the AcuSense technology, based on the Deep Learning algorithm. Therefore, in case of motion detection events and VCA analysis (crossing a virtual line, detection of intrusion) there is a filter that allows you to classify objects of the human/vehicle type and filter out all other events that do not meet the criterion (rain, walking animals, moving trees, falling leaves, etc.). If the filter is not selected the events will be handled unclassified, as in previous solutions. The model being described is dedicated for use in monitoring systems based on IP DVRs. It is equipped with a 4 MP and 1/3" CMOS sensor and an IR illuminator based on EXIR technology with a range up to 40 m to ensure proper visibility in low-light conditions. It has a fixed 2.8 mm lens with a viewing angle of 103°. Built-in microphone enables sound recording. Support for the legacy and latest H.265(+) compression methods allows for the archiving time of recordings to be extended while maintaining excellent image quality and backward compatibility. Additional functions to help improve image quality including: AGC, 3D-DNR, WDR (120 dB), BLC, HLC and built-in image analytic functions (VCA) make the camera suitable for use in even more advanced projects. The IP67 rated housing protects the inside electronic components from adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered conventionally with 12 VDC or through PoE (compliant with the 802.802.3af standard).

This camera is part of the EasyIP 2.0 Plus series with AcuSense technology, which is based on Deep Learning algorithms. With AcuSense, the camera is able to classify detected human and vehicle objects and filter out all false alarms (e.g. animals, rain, cobwebs, moving leaves, etc.) with an efficiency up to 98%. This improves the entire monitoring system performance, and the end user only receives information about alarms that meet the criteria. If the filter is not activated for a given event, the camera will detect all objects, as it was the case with previous solutions.

The motion detection has been enhanced with AcuSense technology, allowing events to be filtered for human and vehicle silhouettes. This improves the performance of the entire system and reduces the number of false alarms that reach the user. Once the filter is turned off, detection can continue as before, detecting all objects.

Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. Therefore, hard drives with a halved capacity can be used, or recordings can be stored for twice as long. Its improved version H.265+ has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.

iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems, such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems by offering viewing from IP cameras, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, handling of alarm events, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, recording to a HDD and many more.

A mobile application Hik-Connect is dedicated to operate Hikvision devices using cell phones with the operating system Android or iOS. It can be used to remotely view live video from DVR, NVR, network cameras, video intercoms using Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks as well as to view recorded video. Video intercoms can be operated with the application which additionally allows for remote opening of electric doors, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the resident. The application supports connectivity via IP and the P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of a cloud-based service that allows access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.

The main window of the SADP software

SADP (Search Active Device Protocol) is a free, easy-to-use utility designed to search for Hikvision IP cameras and DVRs/NVRs in the local network. The network device search tool can also be used to modify device network parameters, e.g. to change or recover default passwords.
