The cabinet heating kit is a convection radiator heater designed for heating cable, power, telecommunications and other cabinets in industrial applications. The design of the device includes, fixed on DIN TS-35 rail:
- the KTO-011 mechanical thermostat
- cube/clamps and connection wires
- heating element in the form of a power resistor, which, to ensure proper heat dissipation, has been mounted on an aluminum heatsink with appropriately sized to allow the desired level of heat dissipation
The heating element is switched on by a mechanical thermostat, which disconnects its power supply when the desired/operator-set temperature is reached, inside the heated cabinet. The power of the heater is 50 W, while the temperature of the heating element (in steady state) does not exceed 200°C. The heating element, the materials and solutions used allow the heater to operate for a long time without deterioration. The thermostat used maintains the desired temperature and provides appropriate environmental/temperature conditions for the equipment installed inside the cabinet.
Since the device is designed to distribute heat in the cabinet by free convection, it should be installed horizontally, (heat sink fins perpendicular to the floor). The device should be mounted at the bottom of the cabinet, taking care to maintain a minimum (3 cm) clearance from cables and equipment. The heat sink – which is a heat exchanger with the environment – should not be covered at the top.
