Global Invacom FibreMDU A9881 Optical Output LNB is a modern device for receiving satellite signals and distributing them in optical form. The optical signal is then converted to electrical form using GI FibreMDU Virtual Quatro Converter A9884.
The LNB has FC/PC optical output which provides satellite signals from both polarizations and both bands. The LNB is recommended for large SMATV systems and installations where the problem is a long distance between the satellite dish and terminal outlets, impossible to solve even using the thickest coaxial cables. The optical signal from the LNB can be transmitted over distances up to several kilometers.
The LNB is powered from the included power supply (230 VAC / 12 VDC) via F connector. In the case of a greater distance between the dish and an AC power outlet, the output 12 VDC voltage can be provided to the LNB via a copper coaxial cable, e.g. Triset-113 E1015.
The LNB uses the 1310 nm window and cooperates with a virtual LNB - GI FibreMDU Virtual Quatro A9884. The set is an ideal solution in the case of larger multiswitch systems. By using this combination, in addition to a freely selectable distance between the dish and the distribution network, we run only a single fiber optic cable, instead of four coaxial cables. The change of the transmission medium can be made just at the location of the multiswitch.
SMATV systems based on fiber optics are ideal solutions for:
  • sports facilities
  • entertainment complexes
  • modern housing estates, which - because of the aesthetics - use a single satellite dish
