The FA-512 12/7A R82550 switched-mode power supply generates 12 V DC voltage and is designed to power ALCAD-branded transmodulators. When two such power supplies are used, the failure of one of them does not affect the operation of the system in any way - there is an automatic and immediate switching of the power source to the other power supply.
