Antennas are our everyday companions. You see them wherever you go, no matter what part of the world, political system or how high above the sea level. We normally take no notice of them unless they are spectacular in terms of size and form – the Chinese FAST radio telescope or the famous "Moscow Eye” to name a few. Despite being so common in our lives, we believe that even the inconspicuous antennas, packed on the roofs of blocks of flats, office buildings and other structures, can have their charm and become captivating details in the landscape.
It is already the nineteenth edition of the photo contest that brings together all those who are able to give antennas a different aesthetic appeal. So far, we have received nearly 5,000 different works showing those devices from an unknown perspective. We encourage you to notice the antennas in your neighbourhood and have a look at them at a slightly different angle, and don’t forget to share the effects of your explorations with us. The works, traditionally, will be assessed by the well-known Krakow photographer, Mr. Paweł Zechenter. Winners will receive prizes that will definitely make further explorations easier.
