The Protect 308 M80308 is a four-channel mobile recorder designed for use in coaches, public transportation, company and passenger vehicles and special vehicles, i.e. trucks, police cars, prison or military vehicles and ambulances. It has been specifically designed to provide increased resistance to vibration and shock.
The recorder is designed for installation inside the vehicle cabin, for example under the seat, in the compartment or in the trunk. The power cables are connected to the battery and ignition (similarly to the radio), which allows the device to automatically start audio-video recording after turning the key in the ignition. The power supply system is protected by a 5 A fuse, which protects against excessive current consumption and burnout of the electrical system in the event of a failure. By default, the recorder works until the power is disconnected by the ignition key, unless the delayed shutdown function is activated (operation for a specified time after switching off) or work according to a schedule. Additionally, the recorder has its own power backup, which allows it to work for about 8 seconds after the power is disconnected to safely save all data.

Thte Protect 308 has 4 video inputs with M12 connectors The package includes adapters with BNC socket (video), 2.1/5.5 plug (power), and RCA socket (audio). Connecting the cameras to the M12 connector allows you to quickly and safely connect the video signal and power the cameras directly from the DVR. Simply connect the DVR to the vehicle's power supply to guarantee the operation of the DVR and cameras. The DVR allows to record images from 4 channels simultaneously at 25 fps at resolutions of 1080p or lower. The video quality is sufficient to easily recognize the traffic situation, the behavior of people, and even faces, or license plate numbers. AHD and CVBS signals are supported

RJ-45 Network Connector
The RJ-45 connector is used to connect the device to a computer network. Thanks to this, the mobile recorder can send video recordings and other data to the central server IVMS and allows for remote monitoring and management of the recorder.
GPS module, overload sensor and gyroscope
The device comes with a GPS antenna. Once connected, the GPS module turns on automatically and the video data includes information about the speed and position of the device. At the same time, data from the acceleration and position sensors (gyroscope) reading data in three axes (X, Y and Z) are always recorded. The device can detect collisions, hard braking, acceleration or taking corners too fast.
H.265 compression
The DVR supports H.265 video compression which, compared to its predecessor (H.264), reduces by half the data stream and the demand for disk space. This allows you to use storage media with half the capacity or store recordings twice as long.
Data archiving
The device has 2 slots for SD cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB each. Access to the media is secured with a lockable latch, which ensures that only an authorized person has access to the cards. The overwrite option allows for maintenance-free operation of the device - when the cards are full, the newest recordings replace the oldest ones, which eliminates the need to delete recordings or format cards after they are full. Recordings are collected together with GPS data, acceleration and alarm inputs in the device's own format. To play back recordings, the IVMSPlayer software is required. In addition to searching and playing back recordings from cameras, the software has functions that allow to use the additional capabilities of the recorder - it offers, among others, the ability to generate a graph of alarm input activation on the time axis or the vehicle's position based on saved GPS coordinates.
Integration with vehicle sensors
The alarm inputs can monitor the vehicle devices plugged into the electrical system. These may include shifting into the reverse, opening the fuel filler door, door closing, seat belt fastening, cargo area opening, brake pressing, indicting etc. Activation of an input can be linked to an alarm action, , e.g. shifting into reverse can display lines on the camera image showing the distance, or switching the image preview to a specific camera.
Control of DVR
The DVR can be controlled with the included IR remote control. The graphical menu is displayed by video output that can be connected to a monitor.

The recorder has 2 video outputs: Cinch (CVBS signal) on the 3.5 mm Jack connector on the front and M12 socket on the I/O connector on the rear (CVBS signal)
