As usual, we will also offer equipment supporting the use of GSM/LTE services, as well as a complete range of products for individual and shared antenna systems (MATV/SMATV). Our sales representatives and engineers will be available to share expertise and offer advice on the implementation of telecommunication installations in buildings.
HDTVI 3.0 - the latest standard in CCTV
The new systems of coding and sending high resolution video have already taken over one third of CCTV market. The HD-TVI (High Definition Transport Video Interface) and AHD (Analog High Definition) systems offer video resolutions 720p or 1080p at price levels only slightly higher than those of CVBS devices. The key to the success of the systems has been the combining of the advantages of analog systems (the ease of installation and configuration, compatibility of devices from different manufacturers) and IP systems (high resolution, immunity to interference).
The latest 3.0 version of this standard extends the maximum image resolution to 3 MP (with a quick perspective of 5 MP). As in any analog system, the video is not compressed up to the moment of recording, so the live images are more natural and without any delays, as opposed to those from IP cameras.
Key features of HD-TVI 3.0 systems:
  • maximum image resolution and frame rate: 3.0 MP at 15 fps
  • compatibility with AHD cameras
  • greater transmission range (800 m for 1080p and RG-59 cable)
  • efficient compression (recording): H.264+ (lower bit rates minimizing disk space consumption)
  • increased bit rate for a selected channel:
    • 6 Mbps in the case of DVRs supporting cameras up to 1080p
    • 10 Mbps in the case of DVRs supporting cameras up to 3 MP
  • HDTVI 3.0 DVRs have the following video outputs:
    • CVBS - for connecting devices using TV standard
    • HDMI - supporting resolutions up to 4K
    • VGA - supporting resolutions up to 2K
  • all varifocal lens of HDTVI 3.0 cameras are of motozoom type
Taking into account industrial applications, the big advantage of the HD-TVI and AHD devices is the use of coaxial cables as the transmission medium. Many facilities are equipped with such wiring (all having older analog video surveillance systems), and the migration to IP systems based on computer twisted pair cables or optical fibers could be too costly or troublesome. In relation to IP systems, the new analog solutions allow for longer transmission links without intermediate devices (up to 300 meters, compared to 100-meter-long Ethernet connections). Alternatively, the HD-TVI or AHD signals can also be transmitted via twisted pair cables over distances up to 150 meters (using passive transformers – baluns), or via optical fibers up to 20 kilometers – using dedicated video-converters.
DIPOL offers complete ranges of HD-TVI and AHD products. It means a wide variety of cameras with different parameters, placed in various types of housings, suitable DVRs, and multiple accessories, also for changing the transmission medium. The visitors at Energetab will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the advantages of the new systems and to compare the quality of images from selected cameras.

Hikvision IP CCTV cameras with extremely wide dynamic range and enhanced sensitivity: Lightfighter, Darkfighter
Lightfighter - cameras for environments with high contrast in lighting

Lightfigher series is composed of cameras designed for environments with high contrast in light between dark and bright areas. Ultra-high WDR technology with depth of 140 dB overcomes problems with good visibility of details in very dark and very bright parts of the image. The professional Hikvision DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZS K17891 IP camera has been equipped with 1/2.8" Progressive Scan CMOS with resolution of 2 MP and frame rate up to 50/60 fps. High sensitivity of the camera (0.005 lx in color mode) and advanced video processing algorithms ensure exceptional image quality in extremely difficult lighting conditions. The implementation of the new H.264+ compression algorithm specially optimized for video surveillance allows for minimizing the data stream and the volume of recorded information. Built-in analytic tools are useful for creating advanced projects.

Lightfighter - automatic license plate recognition (LPR)
Lightfighter cameras can be used for license plate recognition. In order to get the full functionality, such a camera should be connected to a Hikvision NVR supporting the LPR function (after downloading a piece of software). The NVR stores previously imported lists of "white" and "black" car plates (allowed / prohibited) and the recordings of the cars emerging in the field of view of the camera. Depending on which list there is the license plate of the approaching car, the assigned alarm events will control the state of alarm outputs available in the system. For example, if the car is on the "white" list, the signal from the alarm output will open the entrance gate, whereas if the license of the car is contained in the "black" list, the system will alert the security guard. Another reaction can be assigned when the car is not in any list. In each case the system records the video with the license numbers. The operator can easily search the NVR resources for specific license plates by entering full, initial or fragmentary character/number set. Another searching option is based on the required time interval.
MOTOZOOM lenses
Lightfighter cameras are equipped with MOTOZOOM lenses allowing users to remotely control the focal length (within 2.8 - 12 mm range) and the corresponding viewing angle, in order to select the optimal field of view.
Darkfighter - cameras for very low light environments
Darkfighter is the name of ultra-low-light cameras from Hikvision. The extremely high sensitivity of 0.002 lx in color mode is the result of using large image sensor, 1/1.8". The Hikvision 2CD4026FWD-AP K1714 IP camera provides images with 2 MP resolution at 50 fps frame rate. Additionally, hardware wide dynamic range (WDR) with the depth of 120 dB ensures excellent visibility of details in dark and bright parts of the image. The implementation of the new H.264+ compression algorithm specially optimized for video surveillance allows for minimizing the data stream and the volume of recorded information. Built-in analytic tools are useful for creating advanced projects.

Optical fiber - the optimum transmission mediumin any kind of industry
Fiber optic cabling is widely used in industrial plants, where there is a lot of electromagnetic interference from various machines, engines, high-voltage lines etc. Aside from the complete immunity to such interference, optical fibers guarantee galvanic insulation between connected devices - there is no risk of damages caused by voltage differences between network segments or by a transfer of voltage surges.
DIPOL, introducing EasySplicer fusion splicer, has revolutionized the approach to the subject of optical fiber splicing. Its reasonable price, combined with simple operation, allows even less experienced installers to start working in this field.
The latest firmware updates have greatly improved the process of making fiber optic connections, allowing for implementation of larger distribution frames. The most important changes include:
  • the optimization of the heat oven operation
    • 40 mm sleeves are ready within 30-40 seconds
    • the number of splices on one battery charge has increased to 50
  • possibility of obtaining better results - splices of single-mode fibers with attenuation of 0.02 dB
  • auto calibration and auto-splice function just after putting a fiber in the splice area and closing the flap - faster operation
The manufacturer has announced further changes aimed at making the welding process even easier. In addition to software changes, it promises car chargers and Splice-on-Connectors (SoC).

Another very useful device for installers of fiber-optic systems will be time-domain reflectometer GRANDWAY FHO3000-D26 L5828. The device offers functionality similar to that of much more expensive devices of this category. The dynamic range of the L5828 model (26 dB at 1310 nm and 24 dB at 1550 nm) is suitable for measurements of single-mode optical links even with lengths of hundred or so kilometers, but the device is also very useful for testing FTTH systems.
The use of a reflectometer by the installer is associated with a number of advantages and opportunities not available in the case of transmission method (light source and power meter):
  • testing of optical fibers on reels before costly and time-consuming installation - to verify the continuity, attenuation, bends etc.
  • exact location of problems in optical paths (bad splices, excessive bendings or loops, defective connectors)
  • verifying the quality of connectors used in the installation (reflectance, attenuation)
  • measuring of the parameters of a selected section of a link (using markers on the screen) with the attenuation and reflectance values of individual "events" - the installer gets exact information on excessive attenuation in the link caused e.g. by a concrete splice/connector, which is not available in the case of using a light source and optical power meter
  • macrobend detection and location - the installer knows where the optical cable has been laid improperly
Time-domain optical reflectometry measurements are usually performed in long fiber optic links. However, such measurements are also useful in building installations in order to verify if the total attenuation of any link does not exceed the maximum allowed value (e.g. 1.2 dB in Poland).
An example of visualization of a splice in the OTDR Viewer. The splice is located in the 3015 meter of the optical path. The reflectometer gives the attenuation of the event (in the case of the low quality splice the attenuation is 0.47 dB), as well as provides the attenuation of the section between the 2775 m and 3285 m (0.6 dB).

The device is equipped with visual fault locator (VFL) with 10 mW output power and range of ca. 12 km, and optical power meter with -60...+5 dBm dynamic range. The built-in 4 GB memory can save over 40,000 measurements. After connecting the reflectometer to a PC, the device is recognized as a USB mass storage device. The measurement data can be copied to the PC and thoroughly analyzed with the use of the included software. The software has option of generating reports from the tests.
Industrial switches - equipment for all conditions!
ULTIPOWER industrial switches are capable of reliable operation in harsh environmental conditions typical for many industries, like increased dust levels, high or low temperature, high humidity. Such switches should also be mounted in hermetic enclosures installed on poles or other structures located outdoors. The ULTIPOWER switches are equipped with Ethernet ports (Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet, depending on the model) for connecting IP cameras, computers etc. The industrial switches are protected by housings with IP40 ingress protection rating (against solid foreign objects greater than 1 mm in diameter). All the Ethernet PoE ports can power the connected devices (after supplying the switch with 48-50 VDC). Each of the industrial switches has been equipped with optical module or SFP port converting the transmission medium to fiber.
ULTIPOWER Ethernet industrial switches enable data transmission at rates of 10/100 Mbps or 1000 Mbps. Their RJ45 ports support auto-negotiation and Power over Ethernet (PoE) functions. The devices automatically discover PD devices (Power Device) compliant with IEEE 802.3af standard and supply power to them. This way, it is easy to power network devices located in places without access to AC lines, such as access points, IP cameras, IP phones etc. The switches have been equipped with optical converters or SFP slots for installing modules changing the transmission medium to fiber.
