Multiswitches SIGNAL PRO can be combined into a cascade and the power supply for the whole set is provided by a single 20 V/2.5 A DC power supply, which is included in each multiswitch. This type of power supply allows for stable and safe operation of up to 4 multiswitches at the same time, which simplifies installation, reduces the number of components needed and reduces the cost of the RTV-SAT system. Importantly, this power supply also provides the voltage needed for the operation of two QUATRO converters, so there is no need for additional power sources.
Solid die-cast housing provides effective Class A shielding, protection against interference and excellent heat dissipation. SIGNAL PRO series multiswitches are also equipped with LED indicators assigned to subscriber outputs, which significantly facilitates system commissioning and diagnostics. A 20 V power supply is included.
Multiswitch bus amplifier
The MS-900 SIGNAL PRO R69900 amplifier is a professional device designed for large SMATV systems in which the signals have to be amplified and balanced among many multiswitches, e.g. in multi-family buildings or extended SMATV systems. Its main task is to compensate signal losses in installations where satellite signals come from two satellite positions (quattro) and are cascaded to subsequent multiswitches of SIGNAL PRO series. The amplifier ensures stable signal quality over long distances and with multiple outputs.
MS-900 SIGNAL PRO multiswitch bus amplifier
MS-900 operates in the SAT band 950-2150 MHz and radio/DVB-T2 band 47-862 MHz, thus supporting both satellite and terrestrial broadcast signals. The amplifier offers an adjustable signal gain of 15 dB for each path, allowing the signal levels in a cascade of multiswitches to be precisely matched. The unit features low inherent loss and high isolation between signal paths, which minimises interference in reception.
Mounting SIGNAL PRO multiswitches in a telecommunications cabinet
Multiswitches of the SIGNAL PRO series are devices designed for distribution of satellite and terrestrial signals in SMATV SMATV systems. For their proper installation dedicated mounts are used, and one of them is UCH PRO 1 R69985. This bracket enables quick, stable and orderly mounting of two multiswitches in telecommunication cabinets, as well as on flat surfaces in dual-layer system. Thanks to its design, it provides adequate distance between the device and the substrate, improving air circulation and facilitating the routing of coaxial cables. Its rigid construction guarantees stability even with a large number of cables fed into the multiswitches, reducing the risk of stress on the connectors.
Advantages of mounting multiswitches SIGNAL PRO on a bracket:
  • improved air circulation - the bracket creates a separation space, which facilitates heat dissipation from the multiswitch housing
  • easier cable arrangement - the multiswitches are in an optimal position for inserting coaxial cables from the top, bottom or sides

The above picture shows installation of two MS-932 R69932 multiswitches using 3 UCH-PRO-1 brackets in TPR-8 R90553 metal housings (700x500x200 mm). The multiswitches are connected via F-bridges PZ-010 R82634, the unused loopthrough outputs are loaded with DC-locked termination resistors R66205. Additionally, in TPR-8 R90553 housing there have been placed MS-900 R69900 multiswitch amplifier and PA-321 R82513 channel amplifier for DVB-T2 TV.
The above picture shows layered installation of SIGNAL PRO multiswitches using UCH-PRO1 bracket. The multiswitches were mounted in a way ensuring mechanical stability, proper ventilation and service access to all connectors and control elements. The output signal from the multiswitch located closer to the mounting plate was fed to the second multiswitch using F-F connection bridge PZ-010 R82634, enabling cascade distribution of the signal. The connection was made according to the manufacturer's recommendations, maintaining shielding continuity and minimum signal loss.
Redundant power supply for SIGNAL PRO multiswitches - reliable operation of RTV/SAT installations
In modern satellite and terrestrial TV installations, a stable power supply for multiswitches is crucial for uninterrupted signal reception. The SIGNAL PRO series of multiswitches has been designed with reliability in mind and is equipped with the so-called redundant power supply system. Let us imagine that our installation consists of a cascade of e.g. 5 SIGNAL PRO multiswitches and one MS-900 R69900 amplifier. In this case we can use three power supplies that cover the power requirements of the multiswitches and the system of two quatro converters. In the case of failure of one of the power supplies, the other two take over the whole power supply of the set of multiswitches. This ensures that the RTV/SAT signal will be available even if the power supply of one of the power supplies is damaged or overloaded. The installation's maintenance technician should check the operation of the power supplies during periodic inspections and, if necessary, replace the damaged one.

Example multiswitch installation. For the 5 multiswitches MS-932 SIGNAL PRO R69932 connected in a cascade, a DC 20 V / 2.5 A power supply has been connected to the first and last multiswitch. In addition, the broadband amplifier MS-900 SIGNAL PRO R69900 was also powered from the DC 20 V / 2.5 A power supply. In case of failure of one of the 3 power supplies, the system will work stable.
This solution significantly increases the operational safety of the entire installation, especially in large collective systems, e.g. in hotels, apartment buildings or office blocks, where interruptions to the TV signal are unacceptable. Redundant power supply minimises the risk of service downtime, reduces maintenance costs and extends the life of the equipment. An additional advantage of SIGNAL PRO multiswitches is their high parameter stability and ability to operate in demanding conditions, which makes them PRO-class solutions.
