The Base Unit UC-380 R81700 houses MMH3000 headend of Terra. It can be put in 19" rack. The unit incorporates power supply, RF amplifier, and intelligent data bus. It may hold up to 8 individual modules for digital satellite or digital terrestrial receivers with integrated VSB/DSB modulators, MPEG slave units with integrated VSB/DSB modulators and separate VSB modulators for connecting to standalone receivers:

MODULAR HEADEND MMH3000
MMH3000 headend is a compact solution for the reception of DVB-S and DVB-T programs for analogue redistribution in SMATV and small CATV networks. It allows to make effective system in a hotel, boarding house, multi-family house, housing development etc.
The system consists of a base unit housing up to 8 individual modules for digital satellite or digital terrestrial receivers with integrated VSB/DSB modulators, MPEG slave units with integrated VSB/DSB modulators and separate VSB modulators for connecting to standalone receivers. The base units can be grouped to provide a greater number of programs.
An interesting solution is decoding four satellite programs from one transponder with single QPSK/PAL receiver (RD-313C R81710) and three DM-313 R81712 decoders. The DM-313 decoders utilize the MPEG-2 transport stream from the RDC-313C. If the RDC-313 receiver incorporates CA module, the transport stream is unencrypted.
After connecting QUATRO LNB the programming of the headend can be performed via a PC with MASTER R81706 program (or its free versionTerra Link ), or with handheld control unit PC100 ( R81702).
Terra Link enables the operator to control the system locally or remotely (up to 16 modules). It requires to use UD-104 R81704 interface (local control), or PCS-200 R81716 (remote control).

Its commercial version - CMH MASTER R81706 - also provides:
- support of a group of units containing up to 255 modules
- access to the system log (events)
- possibility of SMS alarms (via PC GSM terminal)
Thanks to vestigial side band (VSB) the modulators used in the system allow to utilize adjacent channels. This kind of operation requires balanced output levels of output channels. The differences among individual channels cannot exceed 3 dB.
