Alarmtec BP 18-12 is a maintenance-free valve-regulated lead-acid battery (VRLA). It is hermetically sealed; the gases released during the charging process recombine to form water, which eliminates the need for its regular addition. The battery uses AGM (Absorbed Glass Metal) technology, where the electrolyte is absorbed in highly porous fiber glass separators placed between the plates.The absence of a liquid electrolyte allows it to work in any position. A low internal resistance enables a higher voltage and longer operating time.
The battery is dedicated for use in buffer power supplies. It can also be used as a cyclically recharged power source for autonomous or portable devices (charging voltage 14.1...14.4 VDC).
