DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3(C0)(S6) is a Hikvision IP Mini PTZ camera featuring a 1/2.8" sensor with 4 MP resolution and a maximum frame rate of 25 fps. It has a 4x optical zoom and IR infrared illuminator with a range of up to 20 m. This model is very suitable for indoor applications for monitoring corridors, offices, factories, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The camera has three independent streams and support for several compression methods: H.265(+)/H.264(+)/MJPEG. It is equipped with an audio input for connecting an external microphone and an audio output for connecting a speaker with built-in amplifier. This design allows two-way exchange of messages, eavesdropping on the monitored object and recording audio. The 3D positioning function allows you to easily mark the interesting part for close-up. The IP66 rated housing protects the inside electronic components from adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered by conventional 12 VDC or by PoE (802.3af).

The camera mechanism enables 0° to 355° rotation at a rate of 0.1 to 100°/s. With advanced image correction features including BLC, HLC, 3D-DNR, WDR (120 dB), Defog, regional exposure and focus setting, the camera excels in harsh environments. Combined with a 4x optical zoom and 16x digital zoom, the camera can monitor vast areas zoomed in up to 64x! The camera has the ability to set up to 300 presets and 24 privacy masks.

Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. This allows you to use hard drives with half the capacity or store recordings for twice as long. Its improved version H.265 + has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.

Hikvision devices can be operated via mobile phones with Android or iOS using the dedicated Hik-Connect mobile application. It can be used for remote live viewing from DVRs, NVRs, IP cameras, video intercoms over the WiFi, 2G or 3G and to view saved recordings. Operating video intercoms with the application provides also remote opening of the electric strike, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the subscriber. The application allows connectivity via IP addresses and via P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of the cloud service that provides access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.

The degree of protection (IK rating) against external mechanical impacts offered by electrical equipment housing is defined in the EN 62262 standard. The EN 62262:2003 standard also specifies the conditions of the testing procedure.

The camera has an IK10 rating.
