DS-2CD1063G2-LIUF/SL is a Hikvision IP bullet camera with a hybrid illuminator, part of the EasyIP Lite series. Cameras in this series feature basic, frequently used functions, making them the ideal solution for most installations where stable and reliable operation is required. The Motion Detection 2.0 function eliminates false alarms by filtering out objects such as people and vehicles. The camera features a 1/2.4" CMOS sensor with a resolution of 6 Mpix and a hybrid illuminator with a range of up to 30 m, ensuring clear visibility in the absence of lighting. Thanks to the use of IR and LED illuminators in a single housing, it is possible to select one of three low-light operating modes – IR, white LED light or smart mode. The 2.8 mm fixed-focus lens provides a viewing angle of 105°. The built-in speaker and microphone enable audio recording, audible alerts and two-way audio communication. Support for both older and the latest H.265(+) compression standards allows for extended recording retention times whilst maintaining excellent image quality and backward compatibility. The high-grade IP67 rated housing protects the electronics from adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered conventionally DC 12 V or via PoE (compliant with the 802.3af standard).

The camera model described here is equipped with Smart Hybrid Light technology and has two types of illumination: IR and white light. How the illumination is used is decided by the user by selecting one of three modes: classic IR, white LED light and smart mode. In the classical IR mode, IR illumination is used in nighttime conditions or when the illumination level is too low. In white light mode, LED illumination is used instead of IR. In the smart mode, the camera triggers the LED light when it detects a human or vehicle silhouette, providing a color image. Once the object leaves the detection zone, the camera switches back to IR mode. In addition to illuminating the scene to provide a color image, the LED light has the additional function of deterring an intruder.

The camera supports motion detection 2.0, which filters detected objects for human/vehicle silhouette. This improves the performance of the entire system and reduces the number of false alarms that reach the user. Once the filter is turned off, detection can continue as before, detecting all objects. With Motion Detection 2.0, recordings stored on an NVR supporting this technology can be quickly searched for a human or vehicle silhouette without having to review hours of footage.

Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. This allows you to use hard drives with half the capacity or store recordings for twice as long. Its improved version H.265 + has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.

iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems. It offers IP camera viewing, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, alarm event handling, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, hard disk recording and much more.

Hikvision devices can be operated via mobile phones with Android or iOS using the dedicated Hik-Connect mobile application. It can be used to remotely view live video from DVR, NVR, IP cameras, door entry systems using Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks and also to view recorded videos. Operating video intercoms with the application provides also remote opening of the electric strike, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the subscriber. The application allows connectivity via IP addresses and via P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of the cloud service that provides access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.
