Canale DVB-T si analogice intr-un sistem CATV
Proiectantul avea de îndeplinit trei cerinţe esenţiale: instalaţia trebuia să deservească un complex de cinci clădiri rezidenţiale, să distribuie semnalul DVB-T de la un emiţător local iar locatarii cu televizoare vechi, fără tunere MPEG-4 (CRT-uri şi televizoarele cu plasma/LCD echipate doar cu tuner MPEG-2) să recepţioneze transmisiunea DVB-T transformată în format TV analogicls.

Digital modular headend TERRA MMH-3000 is a compact headend solution for the reception of DVB-S and DVB-T programs for analog redistribution in SMATV and small CATV networks, e.g. in hotels, boarding houses, multi-family houses, housing developments. In many countries it is required by law to provide for residents of multi-family houses terrestrial TV signals. Apartment buildings, boarding houses, hotels etc. usually have to be equipped with single set of antennas. Transmisii de date prin retele TV (engleza)
There are usually used only 60 channels for television transmission. On the assumption that, for the reason of possible distortions, there are left free the channels of terrestrial transmitters (usually 8) and 4 channels for modulators (of e.g. VCRs), it is still 22 channels available for data transmission.
