Multiswitch from well known Terra company that specializes in manufacturing professional RF equipment. The device has been designed for distributing satellite signals to a number of users (SMATV systems). Operating temperature range
The multiswitches are designed for cooperation with two Quatro LNBs and terrestrial TV antenna, and allow to build medium and large installations. They are intended for indoor use only.
An important advantage of MSV-9XX multiswitches is diversification of signal levels at different outputs. It allows to compensate the differences in attenuation of various lengths of cables that have to be used in the installation - we can get similar levels in all outlets. The most distant outlets are connected to the outputs with the highest levels and so on.
Additionally, the multiswitches compensate cable characteristics (provide higher levels for higher frequencies).
The multiswitch can be powered with +12 VDC to +18 VDC. It is possible via "H" lines, from SA-901 (R70901) amplifier. Another option is application of local supplier (R71465 18V/800mA).
NOTICE !!!. In the case of using subnetworks and more than one power supply (the local supplier or SA-901 amplifier), it is indispensable to separate the subnetworks switching off DC pass in SS-XXX splitter/tap ("OFF" position). Otherwise the power supplies will be damaged.
The following voltages occur at inputs of the multiswitch:
